I know it's only UAB and it took an overtime to do it, but at least it's a win. After an extremely disappointing game last week against Tulane, I couldn't even bring myself to write anything about it. In fact, the last time a team was equally as terrible as State, the SEC kicked them out of the league. Who was that you might ask? (or not) Tulane. Almost 50 years ago. Hell, I didn't even know that Tulane was part of the SEC at any time. It was all a little too much for me to handle. It's arguable that UAB is actually a little better football team than Tulane is. Like I said, arguable. I'm going to completely disregard the fact that UAB has only had a football program for 15 years, half of those spent in division I-AA, II, and III. It's a win and that's all that matters to me. I can now say we are equally as crappy as Ole Miss. With LSU and West Virginia up next, my next hope for a win is against Jacksonville State 3 weeks from now. Given the way this team looks and the fact that Jacksonville State beat them on homecoming last year, that isn't a certainty either.
