Well, I guess it could have been worse. Losing 28-14 to the 5th ranked team in the country is not too bad ... on the surface. Either Arkansas took the Bulldogs lightly, which is most likely the case, or State's home field advantage kept the score from being 50-0. It's probably a little of both. Ole Miss managed to take 9th ranked LSU into overtime before losing, which I also have to hope had a lot to do with LSU overlooking the Rebels. This sets up next week's Egg Bowl game at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. Both teams have identical 1-6 SEC and 3-8 overall records so this will be the battle of who can finish the year on an upnote and out of the cellar. Right now I'd have to say it will be a pick-'em because both teams are identical turds.
