I love to play GM and I can't get over the fact that this is a fantastic deal for the Cardinals. Not only did the Cardinals sign what will amount to be the best #4 OF in MLB for a (relatively) paltry sum of money, they signed a guy who wanted to play here more than anything else. Wilson can play a corner OF spot everyday for 1/4 of the teams in MLB and he chose to sign with a team that will probably give him no more than 2 starts a week and the occasional late inning pinch hit. They say it's the little things that win championships. If you include the GM's role in that equation, and I think you have to in this day and age, then this is one of those little things that will give the Cardinals another shot at the title.
