... what the hell is going on in your head?

Why are Americans so shit-all stupid? First, I don't understand why the Snickers ad with two guys kissing gets pulled. To me, the fact that the characters needed to do something manly doesn't poke fun at gay people at all. Instead, it pokes fun of guys who are obviously latently homosexual. Am I the only one who got the joke? Guys with mullets, wearing flannel, working on a car engine ... anyone? Gay people have a sense of humor don't they? I mean, they are referred to as gay, which last I checked still meant happy. Doesn't humor make you happy or am I just making an unreasonable leap? I would think a gay guy would find buckets of humor in making fun of the latent.
As usual I must be in the minority because the point was completely missed when this asshole, who any guy can tell you is queer as a football bat by simply looking at his picture, comes out (OK, reverse comes out) to say he's completely cured of his homosexuality. And he did it by simply completing a three-week home study course. What the hell? Does Sylvan offer a prepatory session for something like this? Seriously, does Ted Haggard really believe people are buying his load? (Yes, I purposely used the word load). Quite frankly who the fuck cares whether Ted Haggard wants do lines of meth off the dick of a gay hooker? Counseling others on living a pious life may not be the best career choice if he wants to continue down that path, I'll agree, but no one should really care what he does with his life. I'm at a complete loss as to why there aren't more people outraged by hypocritical bastards like Ted Haggard. Instead he gets a free pass. As long as we're venting on hypocrisy, even M&M/Mars gets a free pass when we all know that they are furthering the obesity problem in the U.S. by peddling their crap-ass candy bars. Shouldn't someone be outraged about that? Wake up you bunch of imbeciles and start paying attention to the important stuff.

I'm mad about Ted Haggard! He exemplifies everything wrong with this country. He seeks recognition, power, and wealth, while telling the sheep of the world that it's all about God. And people buy it! Like you can't question someone's motives once they invoke the divine. Anyone who believes Ted Haggard is "cured" is an idiot. He is nothing but a modern snake oil salesman. He is a despicable hypocrite. Ever hear of critical thinking, people?

The NY Times story on him yesterday is good for a laugh, though. He claims to have done "three years" worth of therapy in three weeks.
