... what the hell is going on in your head?

Were you guys aware of the sheer numbers of death metal and gore grind bands that are out there? Thank god I can skip through that stuff, although if you are a fan of that genre you'll be happy to know the Slipknot catalog was released this week.

Overall, there was a lot of good stuff released this week including several Concord Jazz collections; two of which were Miles Davis and Sonny Rollins. I didn't include those two in the list but you will see that Pat Martino made my top ten and Maynard Ferguson received an honorable mention.

1. New Magnetic Wonder - Apples In Stereo
2. Like, Love, Lust & The Open Halls of the Soul - Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter
3. Children Running Through - Patty Griffin
4. Two Shoes - The Cat Empire
5. Black Stone Cherry - Black Stone Cherry
6. Between Earth and Sky - The Colour
7. El Hombre - Pat Martino
8. Weekend in the City - Bloc Party
9. A Date With John Waters - Various Artists
10. The Sermon on Exposition Boulevard - Rickie Lee Jones
