How much longer until movie theaters go away? Anyone can make a movie these days and now that YouTube can be viewed as a viable distribution method, you don't have to go to a movie theater at all to see a first run movie. It's not too much longer before movies are simultaneously released via cable, internet, and traditional theaters. In fact, it's almost here now.

This movie really doesn't appeal to me all that much, but I can see the importance of it. If two creative kids with an ability to fill out credit card applications and an indifference to the importance of a good credit rating can buck Hollywood, anyone can. Throw it on YouTube and hope that you can get a video distribution deal to cover the costs of making the thing. Parlay that into some seed money to direct your next feature and you're on your way to being a Hollywood director.
