This is a very promising sign. Last year I thought that State could beat Kentucky and I was proven very wrong. This year I thought State could win maybe 2 of its last 4 games and become bowl eligible, which would be way better than I ever thought possible. The matchups I thought might be winners would be Ole Miss and Arkansas. I never even considered that they could beat Kentucky, especially after Kentucky took Florida down to the wire. I was proven wrong again because State whooped up on the Wildcats yesterday. So, if State can still beat Arkansas and Ole Miss, they'd be guaranteed a winning season (7 - 5) and a bowl bid.
Think about this: Auburn beat Florida when Florida was #1 and Kentucky beat LSU when LSU was #1. Should Mississippi State be #1 since they've beaten both Kentucky and Auburn?
Oh, and Ole Miss lost too, which is always good
