I gotta say I'm real nervous about how bad the Cardinals will be next year and a lot of that has to do with John Mozeliak at the helm. But I'll give credit where credit is due. Everyone in the world knew the Cardinals had to deal Scott Rolen and the conventional wisdom is the Cards deal him and eat some salary money. Not only did Mozeliak deal Rolen, he managed to do so by replacing him with similar run production and at a long term cheaper price for the club. Outstanding. Will I miss watching Scott Rolen's amazing defensive ability? Of course. He's the best defensive third basemen since who knows when. We'll miss that a great deal and it will be readily apparent with 'Stone Hands' Troy Glaus, but at least we won't have to listen to Scott Rolen whine anymore.
