The Severed Cortex

OK, so maybe the title isn't exactly p.c. It's been awhile since I posted anything about my insane neighbor, mostly because I couldn't keep up with the number of times that he mowed his yard. However, the winter does provide some amusement on occasion, most notably when inclement weather hits. Last month we had about 4 inches of snow and once the weather had passed I noticed my neighbor shoveling his back patio. Why? I have no idea. It's not like he could spend the afternoon out there on a deck chair reading a book or coloring with his crayons. Most people don't even want to shovel their driveway, much less the back patio in winter, but then again we're not dealing with a large chunk of sanity here. But the weirdest part is his method for shoveling. He has a walk out basement to a concrete patio, but he also has a deck above the patio that leads to the main floor. He shoveled the concrete patio first, then started climbing up the deck to shovel it ... dropping the snow down on the freshly shoveled concrete patio below. I thought he might have just flaked and after shoveling the patio he came to the conclusion that he should shovel the deck too. However, we had 8+ inches of snow and yesterday he did the same thing. Idiot.
