Drew Questions Own Mortality

On Wednesday afternoon I suddenly started getting dizzy. By the time I headed home, I was so dizzy I had no business driving. I drove anyway, and somehow managed to make it home albeit at times I realized I had no idea where I was. For some reason I turned off at the wrong exit and by the time I figured it out I was on the campus of SIU-E. Luckily I remembered how to get home from there. I immediately crashed on the couch. After Nancy came home, she made me move upstairs which made me throw up a short time after that.
Thursday I woke up and knew I was not well so I just skipped work altogether. Friday I woke up and felt OK. I was still a little dizzy, but not all that bad. By the time I got to work though, the dizziness was getting worse and I couldn't focus my eyes at all. By 9:00 I knew I wasn't going to make it very long. In fact, I even relented and called Nancy to tell her that I needed to go to the doctor. That may not sound like much to some, but I haven't been to a doctor in years. Hate them. Downright scared of them, but I knew something wasn't right. I made it back home on Friday and Nancy and I headed to the Express Care clinic. After a long wait I finally got to speak with a doctor who said this: Basically I am old and my body is not reacting like it used to. He thinks the most likely issue is that my inner ear canals are not responding appropriately and I might have this for four to six weeks. He gave me Meclazine in order to stop the dizziness and told me if it isn't gone in four weeks we'll have to look at other things like the big C or perhaps a brain thingy.
I've been on Meclazine for a couple of days now and there is no relief on the dizziness. It has given me some relief for my nauseous stomach so I can at least eat, but the dizziness has not stopped.
Do I think I have a tumor? Probably not, but I was expecting the medicine to stop the spins. So far, besides the calming of my stomach, the only thing it has done is make me sleep 20 hours a day. It's only slightly better than being awake and dizzy. Hopefully it will start to take effect soon.
