The only thing this ass did was arbitrarily enforce a set of rules made up by man, doing so in the name of God as if God had personally given him the secret to the universe. He missed the whole point of charity and Christian stewardship. From the way he ran roughshod over St. Stanislaus in order to get their money, to the refusal to give communion to anyone who dare exercise the God given right to choose free will and free choice, to the absolutely insane cry baby antics of pulling out of Cardinal Glennon Hospital because Sheryl Crow upstaged him, this guy left a toxic poison on the Catholic church in St. Louis. (As if they needed help to do so). Good riddance if you ask me. Maybe St. Louis will get lucky and get another fine archbishop like the outstanding Justin Rigali, someone who understood that man is fallible and tried to work within those parameters. (Yes, I know he has since had issues in the Philadelphia diocese, not necessarily of his doing).
