Well, maybe not this year. The Cubs, unfortunately, look unstoppable in the National League. I still like the idea of them getting to the World Series only to lose. I wouldn't mind a nice 3 and out in the divisional series either. Really anything that lets Cubs fans down is OK in my book. I say make them wait until I am cryogenically frozen.
This years version of the Cubs is Seattle, who were mathematically eliminated this week. Washington, Pittsburgh, and Cincinnati will be in that same boat by the close of the Labor Day weekend, and Kansas City, Oakland, San Diego, and Baltimore should suffer the same fate by the following weekend. Kansas City may not even make it the weekend.
