The Severed Cortex

I would argue that whoever you guys are voting for in the 2008 election, your vote in IL or AZ is wasted. It’s a foregone conclusion that John McCain will win AZ, just like Barack Obama is going to win IL. That’s why I’m proposing that you vote for me instead. I have at least a dozen committed voters in Illinois and I’m hoping to get some votes in AZ too. Most likely I will run under my current name, but I should tell you I am pondering a name change to Slim Harpo. Unfortunately I don’t think I can get the official name change in time for the election and regardless of the name change I will inform you as to what particular name to write in. (Yes, I know I should have filed at the same time as Chad Ocho Cinco).

In AZ I’m running on a platform of abolishing all government, which I think will be very popular. In IL I’m running on a strictly socialist platform with high taxes and all programs run by the government. Again, very popular in Illinois. Yes I know it sounds contradictory to run on two separate platforms, but I would argue that my pandering to the electorate is no different than what the two major party candidates are doing today.

I hope that my reaching out to you via my blog is sufficient enough to get your vote and I look forward to serving as your next President. (Remember, there may be a Cabinet post in your future by helping me win the election so I encourage you to get out the message of Drew for President)
