Sridevi works for me as a supervisor and she and her husband Mahesh are now U.S. citizens. Friday was their swearing in ceremony and ends a very long process. She's had a green card for at least six years. I certainly don't know the whole process that they had to go through to become a citizen, but I do know it took a very long time. Like more than ten years and a bunch of paperwork and I'm sure a lot of money. Sridevi and Mahesh are some of the nicest people you will ever meet, and of course they are extra smart too. They are also the most photogenic family. If India had a Sears catalog, Sridevi's family would feature prominently. ![]()
There's a lot of talk about illegal aliens in this country and it's no wonder there are so many with the process that one must go through to become a citizen. Anyone who goes through this gauntlet should receive a medal. Or citizenship. Their choice.
