Or referring to those kids that moved in next door to her as the "swamp people" because they were from Southern Illinois, knowing full well where I'm from..........
Two individuals broke company policy . Both were fined and put on probation. One of the individuals has since retired. Its getting now when you pick up a barge that its has to be free from grain, trash and any foreign material that may wash off into the River. Guess who has to clean it up if there is a big pile of grain. Even the grain elevators up and down the river will be liable. Now if EPA could only track down every bottle, can, milk jug and 100,000 other items that wash down thru our nations drain, streams , gulleys that wash into our rivers. Now that would be something.
You know the River Industry is just a big easy target then again the river industry gives itself a black eye every once in awhile. The River Industry has really cleaned its act up in the last 10 years. You know the says " I crap stain in your pants will wipe out 1000 at a boys!
And what makes the Paul Williams story even better is that I had to spell Lil Enos for him, but I spelled it Lil Ennis!!!Wonder what I had on my mind.....hummmmm!
Have you ever seen a woman wear heels with fat white athletic socks? Granted, they're just not comfortable, but I suspect that your socks added to your misery. You do look elegant all stiletto'd up, though!
On behalf of Prairie Center Against Sexual Assault, I would like to thank you for participating in our event! We love the photos. And by the way...you are one of our prize winners for the individual raising the most money-- we have your prize and will get it to you!
Thanks again and looking forward to seeing you in heels again next year. Maybe next year, you can pick out your own shoes!
No Kevlar wires seem to be as strong if not stronger than steel face wires. I'm very surprised using kevlar wires. They last about 2 years with proper care. I wish I had the picture of the ice on the head deck that took us a hour and a half to get off.
Ah.
That would explain how all that ice managed to make it upon the deck. I see you are faced up with those Kevlar wires on the port. Did you snap the starboard side face wires?
The guard chain stay up all the time in the name of safety. Then again it doesn't help when the tow your holding tops around when its caught in a ice gorge. See the other towboat faced up at the other end of the tow. It was his tow we were trying to move.
At least you had options. When we moved we had to close at 11 and be out before 5 on the same day. We hired movers because a) it was in the middle of the week b) it was early February and we just had an ice storm and c) we are old and lazy and don't like to pick up heavy things. I seriously would never do it by myself ever again!
